Would you like to become a Community Guardian?

30/06/2011

Do you want to get more involved with your community? Would you like to help tackle environmental issues and get to know your neighbours better? Then why not become a Community Guardian?

Community Guardians are a network of volunteers working across Manchester to improve their neighbourhoods and foster a sense of community spirit. They can do this be arranging get togethers for local residents, organising clean up events, or even just reporting on environmental issues! There are all sorts of ways to get involved and how much you take on is up to you.

The scheme also offers opportunities for training in skills such as first aid, risk assessment and event management.

So what are you waiting for?

Simply click on the link below and fill in our online form with your address and name and we'll then send you the sign up forms in the post.

After a few quick checks we will send you a helpful information pack, an ID card that identifies you as a Guardian and a code of conduct to guide you.
